Bonfire’s brand was in its infancy when they first approached Luminosity to build on their existing brand mark. In order to tell their story and compete on another level, they required a periphery of marketing materials that would set them apart from their SEO competitors claiming to deliver at the same level.
The nature of Bonfire’s superior service offering, meant that in order to appeal to a premium audience their communications couldn’t be treated like ‘just another brochure’. The brief enabled our team to consider the impossible as far as treatment and finishes were concerned. Expanding on the Bonfire story and infinite personality, we developed the story around people and humour. A major component of their USP was their ability to understand people as much as pixels. As much as digital marketing is a set of algorithms, it’s only half the picture without a clear understanding of people or intent.
No finishing went unconsidered when it came to the production of the Bonfire brochure. We investigated fixtures ‘unseen before’ to ensure a memorable experience on receipt of the brochure. Clear acetate stock was used as the brochure outer, with headline text reversed out to reveal an image of a crowd of people on the inside cover. The brochure was then packaged within a concrete print finished presentation folder of sorts – unexpected in that in lieu of a standard die cut folder, we instead opted for metal fixtures to complete the industrial branding.
Bonfire launched with the new materials at an industry event and they were exceeded expectations. The suite has set the tone for the overall Bonfire brand experience.
